Children’s National Hospital was ranked as a top hospital in the nation by the U.S. News & World Report 2025-26 Best Children’s Hospitals annual rankings. This marks the ninth straight year Children’s National has made the Honor Roll list. The Honor Roll is a distinction awarded to only 10 children’s hospitals nationwide.

For the fifteenth straight year, Children’s National ranked in 10 specialty services and is the highest U.S. News ranked children’s hospital in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. While there are no ordinal rankings for behavioral health, the Children’s National program was named one of the top 50 programs in the country for the second year in a row.

Job Description: The Director of Technology Innovation & Commercialization will lead the identification, development, and commercialization of innovative technologies and intellectual property (IP) arising from clinical practice, biomedical and health services research, and digital health initiatives across Children’s National Hospital and Children’s National Research Institute. This role bridges scientific discovery, clinical needs, and market opportunities—advancing novel solutions from concept to impact. The Director will build an ecosystem that promotes innovation, fosters strategic partnerships with industry, and creates sustainable revenue through licensing, spinouts, and collaborations, all while supporting the institution’s mission to improve child health and educating faculty and staff on these initiatives.
