UI Collab partnered with the Office of Business Engagement on a two-tiered approach. Our consultant first provided thought partnership on the proposed Industry Forward curriculum and Business Engagement Council. He then delivered “Pitch Perfect” as one central component of the inaugural Industry Forward Symposium, one pillar of the multi-faceted faculty development approach.
Results
UI Collab’s input consolidated broad best practices in university-industry faculty development through the lens of an experienced consultant. The University of Georgia incorporated the advice and launched the program ahead of schedule with its first-ever Industry Forward Symposium. Over 60 faculty members left with a sense of validation and an understanding of the importance of understanding industry motivations for engaging with academic partners.
